JONATHAN CARTER is a writer and mystic. He was born in London in 1964 into a family of clairvoyants. He describes his debut novel The Death of Mr Punch as Stephen King meets Samuel Beckett at Fawlty Towers.
He appeared as a child actor in television advertisements before finishing his education at home in different parts of the UK. As an arts journalist he has contributed to Dazed & Confused, The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, Esquire and GQ. He started writing fiction, contributing chapters to two Faber books, Shouting at the Telly and Ten Bad Dates with De Niro. He has created online films and content for London's Serpentine Gallery, the British Film Institute, Faber and Faber and the charity NESTA.
