Barry Miles

BARRY MILES is a renowned writer and cultural historian famed for his work documenting counterculture and the arts from the 1960s onwards.

He has written much on the Beat Generation and was appointed manager of Zapple, the Beatles’ spoken-word label and subsidiary of Apple, by Paul McCartney in 1968. As well as his many critically acclaimed books, his writing has appeared in Rolling Stone, Oz, New Musical Express, Time Out and the Guardian.
