Wahei Tatematsu
WAHEI TATEMATSU (1947–2010) was a Japanese novelist and environmentalist. After graduating from university with a degree in Political Science in 1973, he held down a succession of office jobs before deciding to become a full-time writer. He is best known for the survival story, Hidaka (Frozen Dreams), a novel which tells the story of a mountaineering adventure gone wrong.
